Baja in Mexico, is a captivating pelagic bucket-list destination for all ocean lovers. It is also known for its stunning landscapes, rich culture, and vibrant and productive coast line. Baja’s iconic landscape, where desert meets sea, offers unmissable and unforgettable experiences. Common sightings include massive bait balls of sardines or mackerel, attracting predators such as striped marlin, sea lions, dolphins, turtles, skipjack tuna, and a variety of seabirds like pelicans, frigate birds, cormorants, and seagulls. Towards the end of the year, this productive region becomes a hotspot for an extraordinary natural spectacle - the aggregation of hunting Striped Marlin. Striped Marlin (Kajikia audax), unlike other marlin species, will school to hunt. With their lightning speed and immense agility, hunting marlin is truly a once in a lifetime sight to behold.

Day 1

Arrival in Baja

We will start our trip in La Paz and take our private shuttle for a 3-4 hr ride north to a fishing community in Magdalena Bay. Here you will enjoy beach-side accommodation that offers stunning views of Baja's breath-taking scenery.

Day 2-7

Ocean Odyssey

Every day you will head out onto the water to search for the Striped Marlin and the other magical wildlife Baja has to offer. You’ll enjoy a light lunch on the boat before heading back to your beachfront accommodation and enjoying the iconic landscapes of this part of the world.

Day 7

Farewell

Dive into an interactive Masterclass on photo editing with Jono, perfecting the images you captured of pelagic wildlife.

This is your chance to apply the photography skills you’ve gained during the trip, setting you up to continue capturing extraordinary marine life images on your future adventures.

Then it is time to say goodbye to the magic of Magdalena Bay. You will enjoy a private transfer back to La Paz, equipped with memories you'll carry forever.
